Acura ILX : 2013 ACURA ILX After making its World Debut at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show, the 2013 Acura ILX compact sedan has become the gateway into the Acura brand. The ILX is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 150 horsepower and comes paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. For those who seek a more dynamic driving experience, there is a 2.4-liter with an output of 201 hp, mated to a standard close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox. Marking the introduction of Acura's first ever hybrid model, the ILX Hybrid combines the use of a 1.5-liter inline engine and an Integrated Motor Assist electric motor that together generates 111 hp. The Hybrid is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and depending on which powertrain you chose, the ILX offers EPA highway ratings ranging from 29 to 38 mpg. A number of new, high-value features, including a smart entry keyless access system and pushbutton start, along with Pandora internet radio interface and SMS text message function for smart connectivity with the world. The new ILX is manufactured exclusively by Honda in its Greensburg, Indiana plant.
