2014 ACURA RLX: Appearing for the first time in Chicago is the all-new 2014 Acura RLX luxury-performance sedan. On display during the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, the '14 RLX is Acura's new flagship that becomes the most powerful, spacious, and technologically advanced Acura sedan. Contemporary "aero-fused" exterior styling employs a wide, athletic stance, with sharp upswept bodylines, aerodynamic greenhouse and Acura's exclusive Jewel Eye headlights. These units use a dual-stacked array of multiple high-intensity LED lamps to provide powerful down-the-road illumination. Additional exterior features available include an acoustic glass windshield and door glass, integrated power rear sunshade, front and rear parking sensors, heated and auto-dimming side mirrors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Premium full-size five-passenger interior boasts increased legroom and shoulder room in this mid-size sedan package. Performance is supplied by an all-new 3.5 liter VTEC V-6 engine generating 310 horsepower to the front wheels, and mated to a reengineered sequential SportShift six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel mounted shift paddles. Big news is that the '14 Acura RLX will employ the first-ever application of "Precision All-Wheel Steer" system that delivers improved cornering control and steering accuracy. Seven spoke 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and all-weather tires are standard, while Technology, Krell and Advance grade packages feature 19-inch wheels and rubber. Two cool features are the multi-angle rearview camera, and capless fueling that eliminates the fuel cap. Debuting later in 2013 will be the RLX featuring Acura's new Sports Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive technology and increased performance from a 370hp V-6.
