Ace Automobile Designer guru Dilip Chhabria gets his hands on the Mahindra XUV5OO and gives it the DC Lounge treatment

Dilip Chhabria & DC Design needs no introduction. The designer of some of the most beautiful one-off cars in India. DC Lounge concept is simple. Take a regular car, strip out the entire interiors and replace them with some of the brilliantly designed luxurious interiors. You can always expect the best of the best from DC Design.

Founder of DC Design and the brains behind some of the most wonderfully outlandish one-off cars India has ever seen, he has also been churning out what are called DC Lounge kits for everyday cars for a little while now. The DC Lounge concept is simple – take a regular (and slightly large) car, strip out the interiors and replace them with a set-up more lavish than even the most luxurious of luxury cars can offer. And this service is absolutely brilliant for those who want something opulent to sit in, but don’t want any sort of flash to be seen from the outside.

As you can see the Mahindra XUV 500 has completely been changed once DC laid his hands on it. The original second and third row seats were stripped out. It has been replaced with 24 inch captain seats which can be electrically reclined upto a maximum of 150 degree. Amazing isn't it. Perfact for those log drives.

The back of the front two seats are laced with 10.4 inch LCD screens which can be attached to a variety of gadgets like DVD players, Laptops and many more. A pair of sliding tops and glass holders come out from behind the front row seats for your meals and work on laptops.

Entire interior is covered with brown leathers designed very aesthetically. The roof also features diffused aircraft style ambient lighting and individual set of reading lights for each of the rear passangers. All the controls for the seat positions, lights etc are siatuated on the arm rests.

You can also have optional DC sculpted new set of bumpers, side body cladding on the doors and wheel arches.
